Keep Calm & Eat a Cupcake. . .or Two

by Gabriella Servello August 19th, 2013| Restaurant Reviews
As a cupcake lover, I enjoy discovering new bakeries in southern New Hampshire. About two years ago, a cupcake place opened in my hometown called The Cupcake Conspiracy. Since I drive by it quite frequently, I decided to stop in on my day off to treat myself to

What's a good way to follow a night of delicious dining?  A lazy morning strolling the city streets, followed by a tasty brunch in the early afternoon!  Unfortunately, it was a cold Sunday morning and, as we knew, there weren't many shops open, so the stroll was more of

The Quarter, New York, NY

by Michele Pesula Kuegler March 22nd, 2013| Restaurant Reviews
Recently my husband and I had the opportunity to travel to Manhattan for a mix of work and fun, which included some time there during the weekend.  With more free time than a typical business trip, we were able to enjoy several dining experiences in the city.  Our first

Dessert at Vic & Anthony’s Steakhouse

by Michele Pesula Kuegler July 2nd, 2012| Restaurant Reviews
Typically when I review a restaurant, I like to sample several dishes.  As regular readers can recall, quite often I write about the lengthy meals that cover everything from the amuse bouche to dessert.  This review is quite different in that we only ate one course at this restaurant.

Summer has returned, and with it, so has my increase in business travel.  With a little bit of coordination, my husband and I usually are able to schedule our business travels so that they align for the same dates in the same city.  Last week was our first week

Corner Stable, Cockeysville, MD

by Michele Pesula Kuegler May 21st, 2012| Restaurant Reviews
As I started writing this review, I realized that some of our restaurant choices during our mid-Atlantic trip seem inconsiderate toward our vegetarian.  The reason I thought this is that the Corner Stable is a barbecue restaurant.  However, in my experience, many barbecue places have a decent fish dish

For any of you who have ever gone to a Buffalo Wild Wings you know they are very popular for their wings.  For those of you who haven't been to a Buffalo Wild Wings, you probably live in New England, Montana, Idaho, Washington, New Mexico, Wyoming, or Utah.  You

Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro, Boston, MA

by Michele Pesula Kuegler February 16th, 2012| Restaurant Reviews
Last Sunday I was invited to dine at Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro.  Bringing my husband as my dining companion, we headed to Boston on a cold and blustery February afternoon.  The warmth of the food, staff, and atmosphere definitely helped erase the memories of the cold outdoors.

Olé Mexican Grill, Cambridge, MA

by Michele Pesula Kuegler February 2nd, 2012| Restaurant Reviews
On an evening without kids in our company, what better way is there to spend the evening than a leisurely dinner for two at a restaurant?  With last Friday being one of those nights, I graciously accepted the offer to dine at Olé Mexican Grill.  Not only would

36 deLux Restaurant, Manchester, NH

by Michele Pesula Kuegler January 26th, 2012| Restaurant Reviews
When a perennial favorite ceases to exist, it is often difficult to fill the void.  For 36 deLux, that has not held true.  Located in the home of the former Richard's Bistro, 36 deLux has done a terrific job of providing the same excellent quality of food, service,

China Blossom, North Andover, MA

by Michele Pesula Kuegler January 19th, 2012| Restaurant Reviews
This past Sunday I was invited to dine at China Blossom with a guest.  Thus, I asked my husband to join me for an evening of what I hoped would be good dining.

We arrived shortly before our reservation time of 7:00.  The restaurant was busy, with most of
