Now you’re probably wondering what exactly I mean by baker, so let me clarify. When I use the word baker, I’m using it in a general sense to describe bakers of all types. Whether you’re a professional baker with your own bakery, a mother that bakes to wind down after a long day’s work, or a college student that only has time to throw the Pillsbury Break ‘n Bake chocolate chip cookies into the oven, then you’re considered a baker. After all, you don’t have to be an expert to have a sweet tooth and know what’s delicious.

One of the best parts of being a baker, at least in my opinion, is finding new recipes to try out. This is precisely why we have created The Bakers’ Club.  Through The Bakers’ Club board on our Pinterest account (PeKu Publications), we will share delicious recipes for you to try. Many of these we will repin from other sites, while others will be original, family recipes that we enjoy. As a matter of fact, I’m going to share my mother’s French-Canadian family recipe for sucre à la crème, a warm and sweet sauce served with angel food cake. But before I do this, let me explain how the contest works. While this is a club for bakers to share recipes, you can accumulate points along the way. And, if you’re the winner (the person with the most points), you’ll win a gift card to your local bakery!

If you’re a member of the Bakers’ Club and partake in the contest, which begins today and goes until August 26th, you can earn a maximum of 12 points. Here’s how you can build up points:

1 point (for each)
Become a member of the Bakers’ Club by following our Bakers’ Club Pinterest board
Bakers’ Club members that repin pictures of their favorite recipe(s) from our Bakers’ Club board
Bakers’ Club members that like pictures of their favorite recipe(s) from our Bakers’ Club board

2 points (for each)
Bakers’ Club members that comment on our pins
Bakers’ Club members that send us pins from their Pinterest boards/their friends’ Pinterest boards

3 points (for each)
Bakers’ Club members that send us an original dessert recipe & picture via email to gabriella@pekupublications.com
Additional 1 point (for each)
If we feature this recipe on our Pinterest page
If this recipe gets repinned or liked

In the event that more than one person receives 12 points, we will choose the winner using a randomizer. Please keep in mind that the Bakers’ Club board is permanent, and we will continue to share recipes with you and encourage you to do the same.

Now, as promised, here is my family recipe for Sucre à La Crème. It’s super easy to make, and it will take you less than ten minutes to prepare. If you decide to make it, please provide us with feedback! What did you or didn’t you like about it? Do you have any suggestions for improving the recipe? P.S. I’ll warn you that this is an extremely sweet recipe, and only those with a super sweet tooth will enjoy it.
