Two years ago, I published an article with suggestions for tasty Super Bowl snacks.  Since that time we’ve published many more appetizer recipes, so it seemed appropriate to offer a quick round-up of munchies that will fit the bill for the big game.

Now, you may be wondering why I would publish a Super Bowl article more than two weeks prior to the event.  The reason is this: the big game, in our house, is this Sunday.  It will be a battle of the spouses, as my husband’s team, the Ravens, are facing my team, the Patriots, in the AFC Finals.  While we will watch the Super Bowl, this Sunday’s game has much more importance.

Whether you’re planning ahead for your own Super Bowl party or, like us, you have plans for the conference finals, we have a few recipes to get your menu started!

Spinach & Goat Cheese Dip– As regular readers know, any appetizer that involves warm cheese is a winner with me.  This dip is no exception.  Served with crackers or chips, it is sure to be enjoyed.

Popcorn- Two Ways– Whether you like something sweet or something savory, one of these popcorn recipes is sure to work for your tastebuds.  An easy snack to make and serve, the bowls will empty quickly as handfuls are devoured by ardent football fans.

Sweet Cheese Filled Strawberries– This snack falls somewhere between an appetizer and a dessert.  The goat cheese gives it a savory bite, while the strawberry and sugar keep it sweet.  For me, it’s a delightful combination.

Pineapple Mango Salsa–  What’s a party without some chips and dip?  Step up the creativity a little and instead of using store-bought or even homemade tomato salsa, give this tropical salsa a try.
