While some argue that intermittent fasting is better than any other diet, the fact is that for most people in the world, breakfast is an essential part of their day.

In most cases, skipping breakfast will make you feel sluggish several hours after having woken up. Most Americans forget all about the first meal of the day, and it’s said that this practice has a negative effect on their work performance. The whole point is that breakfast provides the nutrients which are necessary for your brain to function. If you don’t even take the time to eat a yogurt or have a banana, all that coffee will catch up with you, and you’ll end up having a low performance when you need your brain to be on par with what’s happening at work.

These days, there are heaps of appliances that can help you get your breakfast done in a matter of minutes so that you don’t feel like you’ve sacrificed too much of the precious sleep you’re trying to get every day. Preparing frozen yogurt, which is a treat in itself and not a meal per se, can be done overnight thanks to such appliances.

You can also make your own Greek yogurt at home provided that you have the right tools. Another idea would be to get a quesadilla maker and enjoy one with the rest of your family or roommates every morning. Believe it or not, a quesadilla can make quite a versatile dish in that there’s nothing stopping you from adding any ingredient you feel like eating.

If you’re a vegan, you can make a simple salad or have some peanut butter and toast. If you’re a vegetarian, your options are a bit more diversified, in that you can at least make a frittata or scrambled eggs with a bit of cheese and some mushrooms.

What are the chances of you not owning and using a blender, at least once in a while? They’re probably pretty slim as most Americans own at least one in their kitchen. In fact, many consumers upgrade them every now and then in an attempt to get a better model. To make a simple smoothie, you’ll need some fruits and a bit of yogurt. Strawberries are rich in potassium and vitamin C while yogurt is packed with calcium and protein. Orange juice also contains heaps of vitamin C, so you can also add it to the mix.

Blending these ingredients takes less than a couple of minutes, depending on the power of your blender. On hot summer days, you can add a bit of ice to ensure that you’re hydrated. Besides, there’s nothing stopping you from taking your smoothie to work as long as you have a nice-looking travel cup.
