January is National Oatmeal Month, the perfect time to take another look at this old standby. There’s a lot you can do with oatmeal besides just zapping it, sprinkling on a little sweetener, and eating it before you’re fully awake. There’s even more to it than oatmeal cookies.
This recipe, which comes to us from the Barn Inn Bed and Breakfast in Millersburg, Ohio, combines all the best things about hot oatmeal and sweet oatmeal cookies. It’s a treat for any time of day — especially a cold winter day.
